Work on the Gateway Plaza portion of the Chapel Renovation on The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia campus began in May 2008. Renovations will create a public plaza open to the Mt. Airy business district, provide office space for the bishop and staff of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and add handicapped accessibility, quiet space and air conditioning to the chapel.
